Toronto Hydro has introduced a very exciting program called: Save on Energy, Small Business Lighting. It provides small businesses with up to $1,500 in FREE* energy-efficient lighting and equipment upgrades -- all with the aim of helping businesses save money on electricity bills and contributing to a cleaner environment.
The Small Business Lighting Program is offered to small businesses that have an electricity demand less than 50 kW in the office, food or retail sub-sectors plus get access to additional incentives.
HOW IT WORKS
Step 1: We assess your business
An advisor will conduct an assessment of your business and provide a list of recommended energy upgrades to help your business become more energy-efficient.
Step 2: We identify your options
Once qualified for the program, a funding of up to $1500 will be provided for your business. (including cost of material and labour)
Step 3: We install and upgrade
We dispatch a licensed electrician team to install your free upgrades at your own convenience.

By enrolling in peaksaver PLUS, you will join the many Ontarians who are already working together to manage our electricity use. PLUS, you will receive a FREE in home Energy Display!
Enrolling is easy and free. A technician will come to your home at a convenient time for you and install a small device that makes slight adjustments to reduce your appliances electricity demand. Appliances such as your central air conditioner or electric water heater will be remotely activated during weekdays between 12 noon and 7 p.m and activations will only last for a maximum of four hours.
If you previously enrolled in peaksaver®, you must reapply to participate in peaksaver PLUS. For new and continuing participants, signing up for peaksaver PLUS will make you eligible to receive a free Energy Display that will help you see and manage your electricity use.
